Celebration of Freedom

The City of Melissa and the Melissa Area Chamber of Commerce Announce:

CELEBRATION OF FREEDOM

July 3, 2010

The day will kick off at 3:00 with the City of Melissa offering tours of the new
City Hall, followed by the Ribbon Cutting ceremony at 4:30.

All Vendors, children’s area and band are in Zadow Park.

The activities that follow include:

Celebration of Freedom Parade – CityHall/North Cardinal Drive
(Line up @ 5:30; Step out @ 6:00)

BBQ Contest
Judging at 6:30
(Contestents may begin preparation at 12:00 noon)

“Strong Man” Truck Pull-Cardinal Drive
Chad Smith was ranked Strong Man #2 in the Nation
Chad will be pulling 30,000 lbs to help raise funds for

Melissa Intermediate 5th Graders Class of 2018,

3 day Camp Field Trip at Collin County Adventure CampChildrens Play Area

Children’s Area
Bounce Houses

Face Painter

Trackless Train

Food Concessions
We will have two fabulous food trailers offering burgers, hot dogs, sausage,
corn dogs, nachos, bbq sandwiches, tornado taters,

funnel cakes, chicken baskets, ice cold drinks, etc.

We will also have a sno-cone vendor and ice cream treats.

Live Band - Days of Grey
7:00 – 9:45pm

Fireworks Show
10:00pm

Premier Pyrotechnics will once again entertain us with a fabulous fireworks display
