Welcoming and celebrating our new members and businesses in Melissa is a long standing tradition. We love to provide ribbon cuttings for our members! We offer ribbon cuttings at your place of business, at the Heart of Melissa Fest if you don't have a brick and mortar OR we can do the same at our office, right here in town.
Special Needs Kids Easter and BOO! Events
Our annual Special Needs Kids Easter and BOO! events are near and dear to our hearts. Sponsors help tremendously to put these events together and it is so much fun to watch these kiddos come and enjoy an event tailored just for them! Â It's FREE for the Special Needs families and each sponsor can come bring a table and interact with the families.
Heart of Melissa Spring & Fall Fests
These events are HUGE! The vendor, sponsor and public attendance makes for a great day out in the community.
The events have outgrown our area in downtown Melissa so we have moved to the back of the Kenny Deel stadium at Melissa High School.

Melissa ISD's Annual Convention
The Melissa ISD Convention is the first day back to school for all staff. It is at this event that the annual Teacher and Staffer of the Year Awards are presented and the Melissa Chamber of Commerce has been invited to partner with the ISD and community businesses to raise sponsorships to award to each of the award recipients. Together, we have sponsored over $100,000 over the past 5 years!

We LOVE this event as it is a wonderful closing to the end of each year and we always have so much fun with great food, networking, raffles and great company!
Spotlight on Melissa
Our annual banquet is now known as "Spotlight on Melissa". This is our annual awards and recognitions evening.
Heart for the ArtsÂ
This annual event is a joint partnership between the Melissa ISD and Melissa Chamber of Commerce. Together with the fine arts from the students K-12, we partner in bringing the vendors and food trucks to this event each December at the Melissa High School.
Special Olympics Texas
The 2026 Summer Games in Melissa brought together athletes, Unified partners, coaches, volunteers, schools, families, sponsors, and community leaders from across Texas for an unforgettable weekend of competition, celebration, and community. This year’s Summer Games showcased the extraordinary reach and impact of Special Olympics Texas programming, creating meaningful opportunities for thousands of participants both on and off the field of play.

Melissa's Public Safety Fall Classic
This annual softball match between our Melissa Fire & Police takes place at the Ford Sports Village at the Z-Plex. It is free for the public to attend and sponsorships are available. All ages welcome!
